Hey guys so im fairly new on the forum but I’ve been coding with juce for nearly a year now.
I found a new actually genius way of making surround sound with 2 speakers that actually hold up pretty well with the prototypes ive made. its not perfect but i figured that it would be good enough for those who don’t want to have multi array systems in their setup. Ive named the app called dimenplay and the tech behind it is by a new design I call TASS (Temporal/Time-Aligned Spatial System).
I know everyone talks about this new surround sound mechanism that is innovative and bla bla, i get that hype nonsense so i’m coming with a fair amount of transparency with my theoretical tech.
So far i’ve been working hard with juce to translate my paper into actual surround sound and so far its been good but can use improvement here and there. Juce had the framework to get it up and running and I plan to use Flutter as my gui wrapper. Its been honestly hell to get it up and running but not too bad.
Juce while excellent is apparently too sensitive for other frameworks. My app so far is almost complete but ive been having a major problem with how to setup certain audio components that don’t go through my DSP chain. Im willing to discuss some options if you guys have some ideas.
cheers.
