Does anyone know how to go about creating a detune equation in juce oscillator
most modern synths hide from the user that a detuned oscillator is actually one that requires multiple voices to play the same note (a bit differently). try an old synth, like ichiro toda’s synth1, which even has a visualizer for the ring buffer it uses for its voicing system, and you’ll see what i mean, when you turn up the voices in the bottom-right corner of the interface.

that being said: you basically use lots of oscillators and imagine some of them being left and other being right to the center in terms of pitch, amplitude, panning, wavetable-position and whatever other parameter you can think of.
(example image taken from Vital, because there are a lot of detune parameters)
adam szabo, who made a great emulation of the jp8000 keyboard called jp6k, wrote this paper, where he analyzed the properties of the classic supersaw in order to find out what kinda detune properties are classical and cool: https://web.archive.org/web/20110627045129/https://www.nada.kth.se/utbildning/grukth/exjobb/rapportlistor/2010/rapporter10/szabo_adam_10131.pdf
