I have made my plugin but when i use packages software it doesn’t show up on the various daw’s? Thanks.
Layout looks good - have you added cert to packages to ensure the plugins get signed? That’s one reason they won’t show up.
What is cert to packages? Thanks.
A certificate - your developer installer certificate needs to be added to packages to that it can sign the content.
Check the section on “
Managing the certificate of a flat distribution or raw package”
Have you got an example? As I’ve haven’t done this before.
Not really much of an example to give, follow these 3 simple instructions:
To set a certificate:
| 1 | Choose Project > Set Certificate… |
|---|---|
| 2 | Select the certificate you want to use. |
| 3 | Click Choose. |
So if i do ask for each build it should work?
you add the certificate to a project in Packages.
ok thanks
This path looks wrong in the screen shot. The folder should be “/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins”. Note the capital “I” in Plug-Ins, and in your screen shot the Audio folder is not inside the Avid folder.
Thanks for that , Do i also have to have a certificate in the packages software?

In order to distribute your installer to others, you should codesign and notarize.
One method of codesigning is to attach a certificate in the packages software. Another method is to use the productsign terminal command.
Notarization is separate from codesigning, and there are other forum posts discussing this.
Ok thanks
