The ContentSharer capabilities in JUCE for sharing outwardly (exporting) are really great to use and work very well for me so far.
What I’m stuck with is receiving shared content. Specifically what I’d like to explore is:
a) registering an app with the os (iOS and android) as capable of receiving content.
b) have the app understand that data has been shared with it and react.
Would anyone who’s tried this be willing to share some thoughts please?

Obviously it’s not implemented yet, but it would be a gread alternative to dealing with files for content not neccessarily needs to be wrapped in a file!

I believe a nice and seamless implementation would be a parboiled FileDragAndDropTarget with a constructor registering for a given extension String - or even a default TextDragAndDropTarget calling back with the received String.
But maybe we’re lost on such a disgracefully wrong path nobody would help us
To be clear, do you mean you want a received file (via AirDrop), user-selected from Dropbox, downloads etc to open with your iOS app?
If so this can be done with plist, specifically the Custom PList section of:
Projucer>Exporters>Xcode(iOS)
I just re-read my original question from back in 2020 (lol…). I obviously didn’t really understand the flow back then, specifically with my item b). It’s not about hooks its about registration of UTTypeConformsTo.
Anyway, let me know if what I’m talking about is what you’re after.
