Samplitude & keyboard input

When loading a plugin in Samplitude (11 & X) a TextEditor won’t get certain keys (for example space). This keys trigger the respective Samplitude command instead (e.g. play/pause for space).

An approach to fix this in other sequencers is to temporarily add the TextEditor to the desktop during the input. In Samplitude, space works in this case, but a lot of other keys won’t work any more (enter, numbers; del even removes the plugin), rendering the editor unusable.

I’m quite puzzled what can be done about this. Does anyone knows a fix?
