setFallbackFontName and friends not implemented on any platform

I know the fallbackFont system is ancient and doesn’t work on OSX, but i just did a full search on the JUCE repo and it does not seem to implemented on any platform nowadays. Or did i overlook something?

So i guess you better strip this code altogether from the codebase to prevent confusion.

Or of course just re-implement it, pretty please?

You’re right that it’s broadly absent across the different platforms, but it’s useful when you’re dealing with CustomTypeface instances.

Ok, your answer intrigues me, what do you mean by this? Would it be possible to for use to implement a Font fallback system using the CustomTypeface interface?

It depends what you want to do. Using CustomTypeface is very low level, but if any glyphs are missing then they will get rendered in the fallback font.
