Single line TextEditor controls incorrect behavior

I noticed in the IntroJucer that when the cursor hovers over a TextEditor, it does not change into an I-beam. Nor does clicking and dragging work to select the text.

In order to do anything with the control, it is required to first press and release the mouse button over the control - this is not the correct behavior.

You’re getting TextEditors and Labels mixed-up.

TextEditors do all the stuff you’re asking for, but Labels have to be clicked on first. There’s nothing “incorrect” about it, that’s just their intended behaviour.

I can’t find a single Windows application that doesn’t let you click into an edit box to immediately set a caret.

You’re right though, its not incorrect behavior. The “bug” is that a Label is being used in the first place. It should just be a single line TextEditor.
