Struggling to Find Audio Programming Roles – Any Tips or Guidance?

Hi everyone,

A year ago, I graduated with a degree in Acoustic Engineering. I’ve since gained a year of experience as a C++ developer, though my current role isn’t related to sound or acoustics. I’m really passionate about becoming an audio programmer, as I enjoyed creating and implementing my own plugins during my studies.

I’ve recently started looking for job opportunities in audio programming, but the search hasn’t been going as well as I’d hoped. It seems there aren’t many companies or job openings in this field to choose from, which makes the process even more challenging.

I’d greatly appreciate any advice or tips from experienced audio programmers, especially those who have been in a similar situation. Any guidance on how to transition into professional audio programming would be incredibly valuable.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Barto
