Hi, here is an issue that one can reproduce easily with the DemoRunner (on develop and juce7 branch):

With no headphone plugged in the mac mini, launch DemoRunner, choose the AudioPlaybackDemo, select an audio file and click ‘Play’. The file plays on the internal mac mini speakers.

Plug an headphone in the mac mini. Go to the ‘Settings’ tab: the ‘Ouput’ combo shows ‘External Headphones’ . So far no issue, but return to the ‘Demo’ tab and click Play: The file still plays on the internal speakers instead of the headphones !
Moreover, if you try to select ‘Mac mini speakers’ in the settings tab, it does not have any effect, the ‘Output’ combo still displays ‘External Headphones’.
