AudioPluginHost bug or feature which doesn't work as expected

When I scan plugins in AudioPluginHost (in Windows 11), Native Instruments FM8 somehow hangs the scanning process.

The small progress windows saying “Scanning for plug-ins…“ doesn’t proceed from FM8 plugin. Pressing Cancel button in that progress window doesn’t quit scanning. FM8 doesn’t show any extra windows on the screen which I could interact with, if that is what the plugin scanner is waiting for.

Try the Scan Mode: Out-Of-Process at the bottom right of the Plugins Window…

That seems to do the trick.
