I would like to write some midi fx plugins for Logic Pro X. This means the target plugin is an aumi type rathe than aufx. I can’t seem to find any information about how to build that with JUCE, does anyone know?

You want to have the “MIDI effect plugin” checkbox checked in the Projucer:
JUCE/examples/Plugins/ArpeggiatorPluginDemo.
