My Plugin can work both as instrument and as efx and as midi fx.
On Mac for vst3 version I tick in Plugin Characteristics of Projucer : Plugin Midi Input & Plugin Midi Output and in vst3 category “Fx” and “Instrument” and it is found by cubase both as instrument that as fx, but not as midi fx.
As audioUnit I must add in Plugin Characteristics of Projucer : Plugin is a Synth. In this way I can’t see it as efx and obviously not as midi fx …
Which is the best practice to export on both au and vst3 the plugin that could be seen as intrument, fx and midi fx (without each time change pojucer settings and without have multiple version of the same plugin with different names for instrument or fx) ?
Also… Plugin AU main Type has some influence because with different setting I can or not see it in MainStage or logic
