Just wanted to know what the plan/strategy was for this. AVFoundation could be used for both Mac OS X and iOS though only on OS X v10.7+ and iOS 4.3+.
Yes, would certainly like to get rid of all the old Quicktime code in there and move to AVFoundation. I didn’t realise it was the same API on iOS - if so, that’s a bonus! The tricky bit is that it’s only 10.7… I’m happy to drop 10.5 or earlier, but there are still plenty of 10.6 people out there…
