Hello everyone! I’m building a small plugin host (based on the PluginHost example), and I’d like to cover the ugly graphical glitches when loading a plugin, with an opaque overlay. I tried using the drawOverChildren() method in my main component, but the UI always stays on top. Sometimes it displays an ugly Vista-like border when loading the UI (with title HWNDComponentWithParent) and I’d like to hide that too (not sure if it’s possible).
As far as I’m aware, this is not possible. The plugin editor displays in a new HWND that displays over the top of other JUCE Components. As a result, all Component drawing (including drawOverChildren) will happen behind the plugin editor.
