Hi everyone,
I’m putting together a small, stage-focused project: a compact hardware guitar amp/FX unit with a mobile companion app that controls everything in real time. The DSP runs on the device; the app is the remote for live control, presets, and IRs. For the look and flow I’m inspired by a modular rack, focused editors, dark and readable on stage only this is a hardware remote, not a plugin UI.
I’d love to meet a few people who enjoy building things that musicians can trust on stage. If you like embedded audio DSP (amp/EQ/mod/time, IR convolution, smooth parameter changes), realtime networking (discovery, low-latency control, heartbeat/telemetry, solid reconnects), or mobile UI (clean AMP home, editors, preset/IR librarian, small practice player), this could be fun. If you’re into testing and releases, help with simple hardware-in-the-loop latency/dropout checks and a lightweight CI for signed firmware and test builds would also be amazing.
The first milestone is a local-first MVP: stable DSP graph on the device, a small preset/IR store, safe OTA, and an app that feels instant and reliable. No cloud required to start. I have a short brief and draft wireframes I can share one-to-one if you’re curious.
If this sounds interesting, please reply or DM me with a sentence about your background, a link to work you’re proud of, and your availability. Happy to keep it casual at first and see where it goes
if there’s a fit, we can discuss scope and compensation.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for all the knowledge shared here!
