iOS popup menus not working while another finger touches the screen

An iPad user holds his iPad in the top right corner, with one finger on the screen. Using the other hand, he wants to open a popup menu or select a combo box item.
The problem is, that selecting an item in the popup menu does not work as long as another finger touches the screen. All other components work as expected.

I know that there may isn’t a single popup menu in the whole iOS Still think it would be great if we can make this work.

Same thing happens on Android. Everything works as expected, even opening a combobox. Just selecting an item is broken, or closing the combobox, since it re-opens immediately.
