Looking for Audio DSP / JUCE Developer for AI-Assisted Live Mixing Prototype (Mac + Dante)

I’m the founder of a project called Mix Pilot, which aims to build an AI-assisted live mixing analysis tool designed primarily for churches and live venues. (Patent Pending)

The initial prototype will run on macOS and ingest audio streams via Dante Virtual Soundcard, analyze mix quality in real time, and provide recommendations to the engineer (vocal clarity, spectral balance, masking, etc.).

This first phase is not an auto-mixer — the goal is a read/analyze/recommend system.

Prototype scope

  • macOS application

  • audio ingest via Dante Virtual Soundcard / Core Audio

  • real-time DSP analysis (FFT, loudness, spectral balance)

  • simple scoring engine for mix quality

  • UI dashboard showing analysis + recommendations

Technologies likely involved

  • JUCE

  • C++

  • macOS / Core Audio

  • real-time DSP

  • audio analysis libraries

Console integration (later phase)

Eventually the system may interface with consoles like:

  • Allen & Heath

  • Yamaha

  • Midas / Behringer

But the first prototype is analysis only

Engagement

I’m looking for an experienced audio software engineer for a paid discovery sprint (2–4 weeks) to help:

  • design architecture

  • confirm technical feasibility

  • build an early prototype

There is potential for a longer-term role as founding technical lead if the fit is right.
