Odd TextEditor behaviour when entering Japanese

I’m trying to enter Japanese characters (Hiragama/Katakana) via the language tool (which I don’t know what its called) and it seems to input via kEventClassTextInput which ultimately propagates to handleTextInput which only checks one character input, whereas the input might be several characters. GetEventParameter should be called once to check how many characters are in the event and then handleKeyEvent should be called as many times.

This sounds like something that was fixed ages ago… … Text input on all platforms just seems to be so much harder than it should be!
