OpenGL and iOS

My app is showing rather bad performance (about 15 fps when trying to trace my finger movement with just a small dot) using OpenGL on both iPhone and (even worse) on iPad. I’ve attached an OpenGLContext to the ContentComponent, and I’ve looked at the Xcode profiling instrument to get a better idea what’s going on. Now I don’t really understand the output, but what I do understand is that there seem to be a few things that could be optimized, see this screenshot:

Do these points, especially the “severe” ones, provide any pointer to possible improvements in JUCE’s OpenGL code?
