Plugin host example crashes when scanning for plugins on mac

I am trying to get the plugin host example working on mac. It builds ok, but crashes (EXC_BAD_ACCESS) when scanning for plugins, whether AU, VST, or VST3. Seems to be crashing when loading the plugin.

I'm using JUCE 3.2, Xcode 6.2, OS X 10.10.5

anybody seen this before?

Please try with JUCE 4. If the problem is still there, I'll be happy to take a look.
