Rendering automation points while recording

Hey,

I have an automation recording setup in my application, everything is working great however when trying to render the automation points in a lane they are only appearing after stopping the recording (when AutomationRecordManager calls curveHasChanged).

However I would like to render the curve changes live as they’re happening. curveHasChanged is called too late, it seems like parameterChanged is making a callback at the right time but the curve technically has not changed yet so i can’t render it.

What would be the correct approach here?

When you say “render the automation points” do you mean draw them graphically?

Ah yes sorry, not render audio.

So that’s not currently possible but is something I’m currently working on (that part is actually in a branch already).

There will be some big changes to automation coming soon so I’d suggest you hang on until they all land (hopefully in the next few weeks).
