Slider track colour question

Hi all!
Is it possible to change slider track colour ONLY to the left of the thumb like here http://sugartin.info/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/iPhone-Volume-Slider1.png

I think you’d have to do a custom look and feel for that kind of effect.
