Has anyone managed to authenticate with a proxy server and retrieve information through it? Many programs have the feature of specifying a proxy server, username and password and then they can talk to the outside world however I’m not sure after much searching on how to go about this with JUCE.

If you have any idea, please give me a shout.

if it’s windows the setting is in the registry as set by IE, i don’t think there was authentication (only NTLM from what i remember), as for OSX and LINUX it’s taken form the environment variable, i don’t remember if the varaible can hold user/pass in any format, you’d have to check.
