AAX XCODE 10 ld: library not found for -lAAXLibrary_libcpp

Hi all,
I am trying to build a protools version of a plugin.
I am using XCODE 10.
This error ensues.
ld: library not found for -lAAXLibrary_libcpp
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

I downloaded the SDK

I added the path to the folder to the “global path”
using the “global path” in the drop down menu in the projucer under “projucer”.

Not sure what else to do.
I have also run out of decent early 80s music to listen to and its raining here in New Jersey.

Help !
Thanks Sean

Did you build both debug and release?

OK I managed to resurrect XCODE.

I tried removing the “debug” configuration in the projucer.

A similar error ensued.

ld: warning: directory not found for option ‘-L/Users/seanwayland/Desktop/waylomod stuff/waylodelayUD/AAX_SDK_2p3p2/Libs/Release’

ld: library not found for -lAAXLibrary_libcpp

clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

I also tried building the “debug” version only by removing the release version in the projucer.

The error just changed.

Some more specific instructions would be helpful here thanks Sean

You have to build the AAX libraries (as Debug and as Release). The Xcode project is in the Libs/Macbuild sub-folder.

thanks that seemed to get it to work !! I had to edit the “scheme” in xcode and build twice once for debug and once for release

Great! You don’t have to modify the scheme to do that, by the way. You can use Command+B to Build, which will make a Debug build, and you can select Build->for Profiling from the menus to make a Release build.
