Adding sound effects like echo, speed change, reverb?

#1

Hello,

Does juce provide support for speed change (slow or fast playback), adding an echo, or a reverb?

Thank you

#2

Juce doesn’t have this functionality build in but the cool things is that it can host VST (and other formats) plugins. So just load your favourite echo and reverb plugins and you are done.

#3

Is it possible to do some code changes in the JUCE code itself to add these effects? If yes where shall I need to look?
Thanks in advance!

with JUCE this is as easy as it can be.

First google DSP source code or free verb in particular .

then add your own internal filter as to be found in Vst Host example .

add some vars to this class and flesh out the
processBlock (AudioSampleBuffer& buffer, MidiBuffer& midiBuffer) method

and off you’ll go

thanks

Hi Hans,

I have downloaded some VST plugins and able to add those to juce plugin host. I want to know how to give audio files as an input to the juce plugin host.

And also could you please explain me this in detail. I didn’t understand
add some vars to this class and flesh out the
processBlock (AudioSampleBuffer& buffer, MidiBuffer& midiBuffer) method

Thanks
