If you have Juce 7 perpetual, upgrade in any way to Juce 8 (as well), I assume that you can keep using the juce 7 license for products based on Juce 7.

If I have a JUCE 7 perpetual, can I still contract for someone on JUCE 7 based projects if I now also have a JUCE 8 license?

Does purchasing JUCE 8 mean that my JUCE 7 “perpetual” license is no longer a “perpetual” license?

If you upgrade from JUCE 7 to JUCE 8, with the 30% discount, then your JUCE 8 licence will replace your JUCE 7 licence and you will be bound by the JUCE 8 terms. If you purchase an additional JUCE 8 licence, without the discount, then you can use your JUCE 8 licence for JUCE 8 projects and your JUCE 7 licence for JUCE 7 projects.

So, if a company wants to remain on JUCE 7, and they employ a new developer and want to cover him for its work with JUCE 7, what exactly are the options?
