What you suggest would make perfect sense if issues were resolved quickly. But this isn’t how things have been going.
Looking for pre-merge reverts in our JUCE fork’s history I could easily find a few recent examples of issues standing for long time:
- TemporaryFile not safe to construct in multi-threaded apps - fixed in main JUCE in 2022 but in our branch in 2020
