Software Developer (C++)
Location : High Wycombe preferred; London or remote working considered for the right candidate
Term : Full-time, Permanent

We’re looking for forward-thinking and open-minded C++ software developers to join our software team. If you’ve used any Scarlett, Launchpad or RedNet products before, you’ll know we love to innovate. You’ll be given the opportunity to design and create the software that brings our industry-leading interfaces and music-making tools to life, and devise long-term software strategies for future products.

You’ll work in an Agile team, iterating and learning quickly in response to user feedback. Modern software development practices such as: test-driven development, user-centred design, peer reviews, continuous integration and pair programming will be an important part of your daily routine. You’ll be working with distributed version control systems based on the GitLab Flow branching model. You will have the opportunity to develop new skills while helping others develop theirs by assessing new technologies and contributing to team best practices.

We have a number of positions available and are looking for a range of experience from junior developers to more experienced roles. Salary compensation will be in the range GBP 25K - GBP 50K, with overall benefits package depending on experience.

You are:

  • A C++ software developer with experience of macOS and Windows
  • Familiar with one or more UI frameworks such as JUCE or Qt
  • Able to think abstractly from a high-level (architectures, design patterns, concurrency, API design) all the way down to low-level “C style” code (communication protocols, bits and bytes)
  • Passionate about music and audio technology
  • Someone who takes pride in the quality of their work
  • A firm believer that spaces are better than tabs :wink:
