Hosting DirectX Plugins in JUCE

Hi,

Is it possible to host DirectX plugins in JUCE? I’ve been looking online for some mention of how to do this and haven’t found one. The AudioPluginFormat class in JUCE doesn’t seem to support DirectX plugins which leads me to believe that its not possible but I thought I’d ask before I rule it out.

Thanks!

Wasn’t the DirextX plugin format itself discontinued a few years ago by Microsoft itself? I don’t know of a single DAW that still supports it or a single DAW that supports DirectX plugins but no VST2 or VST3.

It’s completely obsolete.

Woah, now THAT is a throwback! My first task with this company, 19 years ago, was to replace DirectX with VST (2) on our PC builds.
