Hi!
I see all of you with a strong knowledge of Juce.
Where and how did you acquired this knowledge?
Can you help me find ressources other than the official tutorials?
Thanks!

The Audio Programmer is a great resource:
So is the accompanying Youtube channel:

Looks good! Thanks!
Hi man,
Definitely been in the same position before, tutorials are good for getting a grasp of things, some blogs have some really good information (Blog · Melatonin) and then just get started making your own stuff. I’d say have fun with it and just explore what you can do with JUCE, and if you get stuck most people here are happy to help.
You can take a look at the JUCE demo for an overview of the most straightforward features or choose an open source project that you like or related to what you want to do, compile it and try to change things in it.
This is a great list by Profile - sudara - JUCE :
Another vote for @sudara’s awesome-juce collection - if you take the time to grok the projects in that list, you will gain a lot of knowledge. I have cloned all of them locally and am in the habit of updating them every week to see any new activity - doing so has provided me with a very valuable insight into JUCE, the kinds of things others are working on and encountering, and so on. Definitely ‘subscribe’ to those repo’s if you want to become an advanced JUCE developer …
There are more video tutorials here (thanks @Mrugalla):
Nice rundowns of how plugins were made + open source code (thanks @kerfuffle):
@daniel’s Frequalizer has a very beginner-friendly coding style and does everything using JUCE classes (thanks, @daniel!):
I’ve learned a lot from all three of these guys.
You can also learn a lot from reading the docs. Sometimes you might not be aware that there’s already a class for what you’re trying to do. Highlights include:
Parameters: JUCE: AudioProcessorValueTreeState Class Reference
and
JUCE: ParameterAttachment Class Reference
Safe pointers/weak references: JUCE: Component::SafePointer< ComponentType > Class Template Reference

thx, that means a lot to me
that one is really old though. the code does its job but it’s not always pretty ![]()
Oh sorry that was meant to be a link to the whole playlist.
I came from a background of Kontakt scripting, knew no c++. I did matkats intro to cpp course, then his project 10 course and I was off releasing plugins within 6 months. I like his method, he doesn’t hold your hand. He has some free stuff around, but I think the real value he provides is the deadlines and review process forces accountability upon you.
