Open GL and Children's Context

How would you recommend “painting” children components of a parent component that has an open GL context attached?

  1. Render children to image, then draw in parent.

  2. Multiple open gl context for each child.

  3. Other

Children of the component with the attached context should render as normal into the context without needing to make any further changes. The OpenGLDemo has an example of this.

Does this include the paint method, or is this exclusive to the OpenGl Render?

Any component with an ancestor that has an attached OpenGLContext will render into that context. The paint functions of those components will be called to render them into the context.
