If you have answered yes to both of the above, we’d love to hear from you! We are expanding our QA Team, and we are looking for someone to step into a brand-new role, helping us to test the software that that brings our industry-leading interfaces to life.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the QA Manager, you will be working as part of a small development team to ensure the successful delivery of new and updated software to our users.

You will help to establish good practice in the planning and documentation of software testing within an agile development environment, and in the appropriate use of automated testing. Contributing to a continual evolution of our test approaches and tools will be a key part of your role.

You will work closely with the rest of the QA Team, as well as Software Developers, Product Designers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters from across our Engineering Department.

Key activities include

  • Defining the scope of QA/Test activities across key software projects

  • Generating and executing robust, well documented, and maintainable functional, non-functional, and user acceptance tests

  • Implementing automated testing wherever appropriate

  • Documenting and reporting test results, working closely with software developers to address any issues

An ideal candidate is likely to be :

  • Able to demonstrate professional or academic experience of both software testing and programming
  • Familiar with Python, and basic C++ syntax
  • A clear communicator, methodical and rigorous, with a logical approach to problem solving
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to make improvements to things
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about music, audio technology, and recording

Experience of some of the following would also be useful:

  • Continuous Integration (CI) and Version Control Systems (preferably Git)

  • Agile development approaches (e.g. Scrum)

  • JUCE C++ application framework

  • C++ test frameworks
