Hi forum!

We developed 5 vst plugins in juce. We want to publish those plugins, of course we’ve OSX and Win too. We are planning to release them in vst3 and au extension. But we can’t find .au extension in the export folder. I saw that option on OSX but nothing happens when i turned it on. I read in the forum we have to buy avid license but it’s not clear what we have to do. Please somebody can answer what we should exactly do?

the AU are called originally audio components, so they have the suffic .component and reside in Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.

For creating AAX get in touch with AVID, they can sort you out. Check out developer.avid.com

Also, be aware that AAX plugins must be code signed or ProTools will not open them.
